Don't Tread On Me is Hal's debut acoustic single recorded on tape. Hal wrote this song when Greece had its civil unrest and the world seemed to be denouncing the tyranny of dictatorship one middle eastern country at a time. Hal's cousin was serving in Afghanistan during this same period, and he often thought about what it would be like to walk a mile in his cousins combat boots. The song evolved as Hal contemplated what his grandfather may have felt as well while flying in a B17 during WW2. Don't Tread On Me is the anthem for the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
